Mark Ponder, Founder and Chief Executive Officer


Mark Ponder
is Owner and CEO of ElectSolve Technology  Solutions and Services.  Mark has spent over 20 years in the Utility Industry forging the way for Utility Operational Data Management in the Electric Utility Regulated and Deregulated Environment. 

Mr. Ponder began his career at CSW-SWEPCO Electric Power Company (now AEP- SWEPCO) and was responsible for management and support of transmission, generation and distribution SCADA-EMS Systems. He went on to C3 / CSW Communications, a deregulated telecommunication subsidiary of Central & Southwest (now American Electric Power).  As Chief Technologist, he specialized in Utility Automation, deployed multiple communities with early generation automated metering systems(AMR), performed systems integration and successfully entered CSW into the California deregulating market as the first certified Meter Data Management Agent MDMA.  Mr. Ponder continued his career as the Director of Network Operation Center, NOC Operations and Enterprise Solutions at MainStreet Networks, a California based early stage technology company developing products and services for electric utility companies. 

In 1999 Mark founded ElectSolve Technology Solutions and Services, Inc.  For 10 years ElectSolve has offered comprehensive and reliable IT products and services to Electric Cooperatives, Electric Utility G & T Cooperatives, Municipal Utilities, Electric Utility Service Providers and Deregulated Electric Market Participants.  Since entering the utility marketplace in early 1999, ElectSolve has introduced products such as Meter Data Management Platform and Line Loss Reporting systems.  ElectSolve’s MDM Platform, including VEE, Profiling, Line Loss Reporting and Settlement is a proven and stable Utility Operational Data foundation for Smart Grid Technologies.

Mr. Ponder holds a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from Louisiana State University.



Jennice Holtom, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Jennice Holtom is Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of ElectSolve Technology Solutions and Services.  She has contributed to the steady and successful growth of ElectSolve since it’s onset in 1999.  Ms. Holtom has more than 20 years experience in Utility Information Technology Management and Operations.  Before joining ElectSolve, she was the Director of Information Technology for the Utility Automation Division at C3 Communications, a deregulated telecommunication subsidiary of Central & Southwest (now American Electric Power).  She was responsible for the start-up IT organization that launched a Data Services business that became the first certified MDMA in the U.S. Services included reading interval meters, providing validation, aggregation and settlement services, as well as providing unique Internet data delivery.  

Ms. Holtom started her utility career at Central Power and Light in South Texas.  She was responsible for all utility applications such as Customer Information, Call Center, Automatic Meter Reading (AMR), Work Management, Materials Management, Financial, and Human Resources.  Ms. Holtom spent three years as Manager of Information Services Planning and Analysis for the Central and Southwest corporate IT group.  She was responsible for the planning and coordination of CSW’s $91 million IS Budget as well as IS Business Planning & Performance Monitoring and IS Disaster Recovery Planning.  She served as Information Systems liaison between CSW and its UK electric subsidiary, SEEBOARD. 


She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi, and has completed Harvard Business School’s “Managing the Information Technology Resource.”  Additionally, Ms. Holtom holds Project Management Professional PMP®  certification.


Craig Nicholson, Vice President and Chief Technical Officer

Craig Nicholson is Vice President and Chief Technical Officer of ElectSolve Technology Solutions and Services, Inc. Craig specializes in systems analysis and business solutions development utilizing relational database technologies and 4gl languages.  Mr. Nicholson has over 15 years experience developing technical and utility IT solutions.  Mr. Nicholson actively directs software development and technology planning operations at ElectSolve and is responsible for data management systems architecture and product design.  Mr. Nicholson has designed and developed numerous data management and technical data analysis solutions and products over a period of 15 years that has provided ElectSolve’s customers with exceptional value return.

Mr. Nicholson started his career doing medical research for Louisiana State University Medical Center before joining GM in the Chemical Management program.  While at GM, he managed several technical chemical systems and soon moved into management.  In this role, Craig wrote several technical chemical data analysis.  From GM, Mr. Nicholson joined Praeses, LLC, a private consulting firm as a software developer and consultant working on many systems for  private and public sectors in transportation to health insurance.  Mr. Nicholson has spent the majority of his career specializing in Utility System Integration and developing Utility Operational Data Applications including Energy Settlement, Meter Data Management, VEE, Profiling, and Line Loss Reporting for the Regulated and Deregulated Utility market place.   

Craig Nicholson holds a Masters in System Technology, Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry from Louisiana State University.
