Steve BellSteve Bell, Vice President and Chief Business Development Officer In 1999, Steve was instrumental in the successful market repositioning/launch of an automatic meter reading (AMR) manufacturer to an affinity marketer of residential Internet gateway services for utilities as Business Development Manager for MainStreet Networks (San Jose, CA), a $90M venture-capital technology startup company. Steve provided leadership and support in the aggressive acquisition of 60+ electric cooperatives & municipal utility accounts in less than a year. In 1996, Steve managed back-office systems integration for Hybrid-Fiber Coax Network deployments of ‘Customer Choice & Control’ at Austin Energy and at Central Power & Light in Laredo, Tx for C3 Communications, Inc., which provided automated metering services as well as telecommunications services through CSW/ICG ChoiceCom. As Business Development Consultant, Steve was instrumental in C3’s sales success in California’s deregulating electric market as the first Meter Data Management Agent (MDMA). Additionally, Steve successfully launched Meter Data Services as a national service with commercial and industrial customers in traditional regulated electric markets, as well as supporting CSW Energy’s service in competitive retail markets. After attending Dallas Baptist University, Steve began his utility career at Dallas-based Central & South West Services, which provided management and professional services for CSW Corporation (now American Electric Power) and its four U.S. electric companies. CSW served 1.7 million customers across Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas. Steve held numerous Technology and Telecommunications consultant and project management roles over the span of 10 years supporting corporate-wide initiatives and business improvement projects. |
